Balls (Gameplay object)

The game starts with 2 balls, which are indestructible and keep the game going.

You can get control over their color by touching them with your paddle. Rocks destroyed by balls might release pods and these pods have a habit of dropping towards the player in control of that ball.

However, make sure that you don't let the balls hit your control panel blocks as you will find that they deal a lot of damage that will add up quite a lot during the game. Also, the little teasers will surprisely frequent block and destroy rockets and other goodies aimed at the other player. To avoid this, have an eye out for their trajectory.

Big Bertha Missile (Goodie)

The Big Bertha might be one of the slowest rockets in your arsenal, she also deals a lot of damage on impact. So try to use one of these babies when your opponent is distracted as one successful hit might just win the battle for you.

Gauge Enabled: The Big Bertha is a gauge enabled goodie. The longer you hold the launch button, the faster the missile will be launched.

Control Panel Blocks (Gameplay object)

The aim of the game is to deal as much damage as possible to of your opponent's control panel blocks while protecting your own.

You can win the game by breaching the hull of your opponent's spacecraft represented by the control panel blocks, so dealing as much damage as possible to the hull (and preferely the same part over and over again) is your main objective. However, if the timer runs out without either hull being breached, the player with the least damage will win, so dealing damage to less damaged parts of your opponent's hull makes sense as well, especially if time is running out!

Hull Breach Alert: If your hull is one shot from being breached an alarming sound will be triggered, so be on the lookout for this.

Kamikaze Chicken (Goodie)

Find your path totally blocked by rocks, mines and other space debris? Fear not as the Kamikaze (or Crazy) Chicken is there to help you out with a super swift surprise attack. Unlike most other goodies Kamikaze Chickens will just fly straight over them rocks and mines and throw themselves with all their might at your astounded opponent. All for your glory and benefit. Gotta love those chicks-in-space, don't you think?

Extra controls: Use your paddle to control where you want the Kamikaze Chicken to hit your opponent's hull as halfway its flight the chicken will check your paddle's position and attack your rival across the battlefield at exactly the same spot.

Spicy Chilibomb (Goodie)

You won't find them much hotter than the steaming Chilibomb, an mixture between a bomb and a rocket with normal speed and damage but with an smoking impact that temporarily hinders your opponent's sight. Tap your launch button twice to also meet this goodie's lovely twin brothers.

Gauge Enabled: The Chilibomb is a gauge enabled goodie. The longer you hold the launch button, the faster the missile will be launched.

Extra controls: If you tap the launch button again after launch, the Chili Bomb will split itself into 3 spicy surprises.

Extra Ball (Goodie)

Launch an extra ball to destroy more Rocks and thus obtain more pods or try to launch the ball in your opponent's area, keeping him busy fending off balls. Balls launched by you will never change color. They can however still cause damage to both you and your opponent's hull, so use this goodie with care.

Gauge Enabled: The extra ball is a gauge enabled goodie. The longer you hold the launch button, the faster the ball will be launched.

Glider (Gameplay object)

The glider is a monster that will randomly appear and attack both you and your opponent with a devastating burst of lasers. Try to destroy the glider before it glides off screen again, as destroying is will award a vast amount of pods.

Laser damage prevention hint: Taking damage caused by the impact of a laser can be prevented by deflecting the laser with your paddle.

Grow Paddle (Goodie)

Use this goodie to temporarily grow your paddle to twice its original size. Can also be used to give a shortened paddle its normal size back.

Instant goodie: This goodie won't be launched, but becomes effective the moment it's being used.

Guided Missile (Goodie)

A heavy, but slow rocket. Still, the Guided Missile shouldn't fly too fast, as you can control it's trajectory using your control panel. And as you might know fast moving guided missiles have a habit of blowing up the wrong targets.

Gauge Enabled: The Guided Missile is a gauge enabled goodie. The longer you hold the launch button, the faster the rocket will be launched.

Extra controls: Use your control panel to control the trajectory of the missile the same way you would control your paddle. Take care, while controlling a Guided Missile you might find controlling your paddle a bit of a challenge.

Blueberry Jam (Goodie)

Blueberry jam, isn't it the real commander's all times favourite sandwich filling? And you're going to like the taste of this jam even better as it will make the surfice of your opponent's hull all sticky and messy upon impact, considerably hampering his paddle's speed. So a jammed control panel would make a great opportunity for launching a few super fast missiles upon your helpless adversary, now wouldn't it?

Gauge Enabled: Blueberry Jam is a gauge enabled goodie. The longer you hold the launch button, the faster the jam will be launched.

Launch Button (Gameplay object)

The launch button surprisely... launches a goodie at your opponent's hull or collects you the benefits of an instant goodie. select the Rocket Button or one of the available goodies from the button frames, touch and, in case of a gauge enabled goodie, hold the launch button and if done with the right timing... Presto, damage done.

Gauge Enabled: If a goodie is gauge enabled a gauge will be shown beside the launch button whenever it is selected. In this cause you can f.e. speed up the launch speed of the goodie by holding the lauch button for a longer time before releasing it.

Instant goodie: Instant goodies won't be launced but will be collected right away. They don't need to hit the opponent's hull for becoming effective.

Malfunction (Goodie)

Use this goodie to temporarily render you opponent's paddle invisible. Any affected paddles can still be controlled and will still bock incoming mayhem, if you can figure out a way to get it in the correct position.

Instant goodie: This goodie won't be launched, but becomes effective the moment it's being used.

Plain Missile (Goodie)

Just your regular, run-of-the-mill, all-purpose missile, that's reasonably fast and does a fair amount of damage. Can be effective in destroying small rocks to obtain new pods as the range of its blast is a bit larger than the Ricky Rocket.

Gauge Enabled: The Guided Missile is a gauge enabled goodie. The longer you hold the launch button, the faster the rocket will be launched.

Pods (Gameplay object)

Destroyed rocks and monsters may release pods that tend to fly towards the player that destoyed that rock or monster. All pods contain vailable goodies, so in order to get your hands on better weapons, you should try try to obtain as many pods as possible.

Rocket Button (Gameplay object)

If you're out of goodies or you'd like to hold on to your goodies a bit longer, you can also use the rocket button to load a Ricky Rocket. Although you've got these small rockets in unlimited stock, after launching one of them it will cost a small amount of time before you can load a new one. Ricky Rockets only cause a small amount of damage. However, it would still be wise not to underestimate these little buggers, as they are pretty fast and therefor quite difficult to block.

Gauge Enabled: The Ricky Rocket is a gauge enabled goodie. The longer you hold the launch button, the faster the rocket will be launched.

Rocks (Gameplay object)

Rocks can be quite annoying as they will block the path towards your opponent. However, remember that the same goes for your adversary, so they protect you as well. And they contain a lot of pods that, once collected, reward you with valuable goodies that will aid you with your battle. So besides getting a straight line of fire towards your opponent's hull, destroying them rocks is always a good idea.

Saucer (Goodie)

Saucers are collaborators that after launching will operate entirely on themselves and that will attack your opponent at will with a series of laser blasts. As they can inflict a lot of damage, but not withstand too many hits themselves, it might be smart to use them in the heat of the battle, while your opponent is distracted by other matters.

Shield (Goodie)

A shield will temporarily protect part of your hull against all of your opponent's attacks. It's might make sense to position your shield at the part your hull that is most severely damaged.

Nail damage prevention hint: Nails will explode on impact and cause moderate damage. Taking damage caused by the impact of a nail can be prevented by intercepting the nail with your paddle.

Superman (Anomaly)

Superman is one of the well known anomalies you might meet when playing Paddle Battle. Besides treating you to some clever remarks, these anomalies won't affect the gameplay much more.

Timebomb (Goodie)

This goodie will explode after a set amount of goodies. Because it's timed-based, it's difficult to make it explode precisely at the correct position but if you succeed in doing so, it does a lot of damage. Also effective for blowing up large amount of rocks. Be warned though: incorrectly aimed / timed timebombs have a habit of bouncing back to explode near your own hull.

Gauge Enabled: The timebomb is a gauge enabled goodie. The longer you hold the launch button, the higher the timer will be set (1 second for every part).

Timepiece (Goodie)

Use this goodie to add some time to the game timer. Especially useful if you feel you're behind and the game timer is running out.

Gauge Enabled: The Timepiece is a gauge enabled goodie. The longer you hold the launch button, the more time will be added to the game timer (with a maximum of half a minute).

Instant goodie: This goodie won't be launched, but becomes effective the moment it's being used.

Tobor (Goodie)

This little robot will ride around on the surface of your hull, fixing control panel blocks that need fixing. Quite convenient if your hull has suffered a lot of damage, but be sure to protect your little helper with your paddle, because it's quite vulnerable. Tip: Tobor will always first try to fix the blocks that have suffered the most damage.

Tractorbeam (Goodie)

You can use the tractorbeam to change the trajectory of any pods heading towards your opponent and pull them towards your own paddle. Only drawback is it can't be used in combination with other goodies, denying you any attacking options while pulling in pods.

Instant goodie: This goodie won't be launched, but becomes effective the moment it's being used.

Virus (Goodie)

A virus will shortly disable your opponent's controls upon successfully hitting his hull, giving you a small timeframe to launch some heavy weaponry his way. Be quick though, as the paralization will only last 10 seconds.

Gauge Enabled: The Virus is a gauge enabled goodie. The longer you hold the launch button, the faster the virus will be launched.

Gauge (Gameplay object)

Whenever you select a goodie that is gauge enabled, a gauge will be displayed beside the launch button. Upon touching and holding the launch button, the gauge will fill up. The effect will depend upon the goodie selected, but as a rule of thumb, the more filled up the gauge, the better the result.

Space Mine (Gameplay object)

One or a few Space Mines might be placed among the rocks at the start of a round. Upon impact they will explode, causing a lot of damage. If you make sure one of your goodies makes the mine explode, any pods released as a result will fly towards you!
